How To Set Up API Integration

The API integration enables importing data from APIs and using this data in various widgets, including FAQ, Charts, Timeline, Catalog, Testimonials, and more.
This feature is particularly beneficial for real-time data retrieval, analysis, and manipulation.

Note: Before you start the integration, make sure that your widget is saved.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to set it up:

1. Open the Common Ninja editor and navigate to the Integrations tab. Select the API option from the list of available integrations.
   
   
   
   
   
2. Within the API section, enter your API endpoint URL in the Endpoint URL field.
   
   
   
   
   
3. Define your API options:
   
   • Choose the method required (Get or Post).
   • Specify the desired response type (JSON or text).
   • Set the response object path, which denotes the path from which your API object retrieves data. For instance, "data.item".
   • Decide whether to include cookies or not.
   
   
   
4. Once all the API options are selected, locate the Connect Widget button and click on it to initiate the integration process between your API and the Common Ninja widget.
   
   

And that is it! After completing the integration, a new section named Data Mapper will appear. Here, you can select the parameters from your API that you wish to incorporate into your chosen widget.
