What is Notion?
Notion is an all-in-one digital workspace for organizing tasks, notes, projects, and collaboration. Its flexible interface combines note-taking, task management, and databases, allowing users to create customized pages and templates for personalized organization. Ideal for individuals and teams, Notion streamlines information management and sharing.
Common Ninja’s Integration with Notion
The Notion integration feature allows you to get data from Notion's tables and add it to various Common Ninja widgets, including FAQ, 3D Cards, Calendar, and more.
Note that before commencing with the integration process, you must ensure that your project is saved.
To use the Notion integration:
- In the Common Ninja editor, navigate to the "Integrations" tab. Within this section, locate and select the "Notion" option.
- A new window will appear. Here, you will find the "Connect Widget" button. Click on this button to initiate the integration process between your Notion page and the chosen Common Ninja widget.
- You will be redirected to the Notion website. In order to proceed, grant the necessary access permissions to retrieve content from your Notion account. To continue, click on "Select Pages."
- Then, choose the specific page within Notion where the target table containing the data you wish to utilize is located. Continue by clicking on the "Allow Access." button.
- You will be directed back to the Common Ninja editor.
From there, under the "Select a Database" option, pick the table from the chosen Notion page that you intend to integrate with Common Ninja.
And that's it!
With the table selected, a new set of options will appear. These options allow you to specify which elements from the Notion table you want to incorporate into your chosen widget.

Let's consider an actual scenario to better understand the concept.
Meet Bob, our lovely user, who has created the following table using Notion.
Bob's next step was to integrate this table into the Common Ninja FAQ widget.
Bob strategically designated the "Category" column to represent the diverse FAQ categories,
While the "Question" column contains the range of questions. And lastly, the "Answer" column contains the range of answers.
