In this guide, we will explore the process of integrating Common Ninja widgets with Zapier.
Zapier, a powerful automation tool, serves as a bridge between various web applications, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency. By integrating your Common Ninja widget with Zapier, you unlock the potential to seamlessly connect your widget's functionality with numerous other services and applications.
This integration facilitates the automation of tasks, synchronization of data, and triggering of actions based on specific conditions, thereby optimizing your digital processes and workflows.
Step 1: Acquire Your Integration Key on the Common Ninja editor
Begin by accessing the Common Ninja editor. Once there, navigate to the 'Integrations' section and choose the Zapier integration option.
Click on the Connect Widget.
Then, click on the Copy icon, to copy the integration key.
Step 2: Set Up a Trigger in Zapier
Proceed to Zapier and create a new Zap.
Once you're in the Zap creation interface, select the 'Trigger' option. This action allows you to define the trigger for your Zap, which is the event in Common Ninja that will kickstart the automated workflow in Zapier.
In the dialog that appears, use the search function to locate and select the 'Common Ninja' trigger.
Enter the Select Event field

Connect your Zap to Common Ninja
Next, you will need to establish a connection with Common Ninja.
To do this, click on the 'Sign In' button. This action will prompt you to authenticate and link your Common Ninja account with Zapier
In the window that opens, paste the Integration Key you previously copied from the Common Ninja editor. If you need to retrieve the key again, simply return to the Common Ninja editor and copy the code once more.
After entering the key, click on the button provided to grant access, allowing Zapier to interact with your widget.
Step 3: Initiate a Trigger Event on Your Widget
Now, it's time to activate a trigger event.
Navigate to your widget as it appears live on your site, or on the Share Widget page — not in the editor. This step involves interacting with your widget in the way a user would.
For instance, if your widget is a form, go ahead and submit it.
Step 4: Verify Your Trigger
Return to Zapier and locate the 'Test Trigger' button.
Click on this button to verify if the trigger you initiated from your widget is being correctly detected by Zapier.
Following your action, Zapier will display the outcome of the event you triggered on your widget. For instance, if your widget is a form, you should see the details of the form submission you made.
If everything appears as expected and the integration seems to be working correctly, proceed by clicking the button below.
Step 5: Choose the Action
Congratulations! Your widget is now successfully connected to Zapier.
The next step is to select the action that will be triggered using the data sent by your widget. This action defines what happens in the automated workflow after the trigger event occurs.
You can choose from a wide range of actions available in Zapier to integrate with various apps and services, depending on what you aim to achieve with the data received from your Common Ninja widget.
This flexibility allows you to tailor your automated processes to meet your specific needs and objectives.
