Common Ninja forms enable you to collect payments directly through your forms, making it easy to accept payments for products, services, or donations. Whether you’re a business owner, freelancer, or nonprofit, integrating payments into your forms can streamline transactions and enhance user experience.
In this article, we’ll guide you on how to set up a payment method for your form.
Note:
- Currently, only PayPal is supported for payment processing.
- Only one-time payments are supported at this time. Subscription payments are not yet available.
Step 1 - Access the Payments Section
Navigate to the Payments section in the left-hand menu of the editor. If you haven’t connected a payment method yet, click on Connect a Payment Integration. This will redirect you to the Integration Section where you can set up your payment method.
Step 2 - Integrate a Payment Method
In the Integration Section, click on the payment method you want to use (e.g., PayPal).
Note: Before integrating a payment method, ensure that your widget is saved. If you haven’t saved it yet, you’ll need to do so before proceeding.
Now, click on the Connect button to link the selected payment method to your form.
Step 3 - Log In to PayPal
A PayPal login window will appear, where you’ll be prompted to enter your PayPal credentials. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection process.
PayPal will display a "Connecting" message as it links your account.
When connected, you’ll be prompted to allow Common Ninja to integrate with your PayPal account. Review the permissions and click on Agree and Connect to proceed.
At the end of the process, you’ll be redirected back to Common Ninja, confirming that the integration was successful.
Now, in the Integration Section, you can see that your PayPal account is successfully integrated and connected to your form.
Step 4 - Activate Payments on Your Form
Now that you've integrated a payment method into your form, it’s time to activate it.
Go back to the Payments Section and click the Activate Payments button to enable payments for your form.
That’s it! Your form is now connected to a payment method. You can set pricing and other configurations to start collecting payments seamlessly through your form.
