By default, the Card Builder applies an equal gap between all fields in a card. While this default spacing works well for most designs, you may want to customize it to create a clearer visual hierarchy, improve readability, or reduce unused space.
Here’s how to take full control over the spacing between fields:
Step 1: Set Global Gap Between Fields
-
Click the Design icon in the left menu.
-
Navigate to the Advanced tab.
-
Locate the Gap Between Fields setting under the Card section.
-
Set it to
0to remove the default equal spacing.
🧩 This removes uniform spacing between fields and allows you to define custom spacing for each field individually.
Step 2: Adjust Spacing for Individual Fields
Once the global gap is removed, you can add custom spacing where needed:
-
Go to the Custom tab in the Design panel.
-
Select the field you want to adjust (e.g., Title Field, Subtitle Field, etc.).
-
Open the Spacing section.
-
Click the Link icon to unlink the margins. This allows you to edit each side (top, bottom, left, right) independently.
-
Set the bottom margin (or top, if preferred) to your desired spacing value (e.g., 12px) to create space below that field.
🛠 You can repeat this process for other fields to create custom spacing that fits your design and content flow.
Why Customize Field Spacing?
Custom spacing allows you to:
-
Group related fields more tightly
-
Create breathing room around key elements like headings or buttons
-
Improve visual flow and readability on all screen sizes
This level of control is especially helpful for complex cards with many fields, giving you complete freedom over how your content appears.
