Starting Your Tournament
- To start a tournament, go to the widget editor, locate it, and click on the Start Tournament button positioned at the top right corner of the bracket widget.
- Upon clicking the button, a popup window will appear. It's essential to note that once the tournament is initiated, certain features will be restricted, including:
- Changing tournament type (bracket type)
- Adding or removing participants
- Changing games order
- Accepting join requests.
If you agree with these conditions, proceed by clicking Start Tournament, and your bracket will be published.
Resolving Voting Bracket Errors
You may get an error message, similar to this one when you attempt to start the tournament:
This error indicates that your voting settings lack start and end dates for voting on the games. Resolve this by configuring the voting dates within the Voting Rounds section under the Voting Settings tab.
Please know that you cannot set a voting date beyond the game's date. If a specific game starts on a particular date, the voting date for that game cannot be scheduled after the game's date.
Resolving Prediction Brackets Errors
Another error message, similar to the one below, may appear when attempting to start the tournament:
This error indicates that your prediction settings lack start and end dates for users to predict the tournament. Resolve this by setting the prediction dates through the Predictions Dates section under the Predictions Settings tab.
Please be aware that prediction dates cannot surpass the tournament's start date. If a tournament commences on a specific date, the prediction date for that game cannot extend beyond the tournament's start date.
By following these steps and addressing potential issues, you'll successfully start and publish your tournament bracket!
