Set Up 2FA Using an Authenticator App
-
A pop-up window will appear with a QR code and instructions.
-
Follow these steps:
-
Download an authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator) on your mobile device.
-
Open the app and scan the QR code displayed on the screen.
-
The app will generate a 6-digit code.
-
Enter the 6-digit code in the provided field on the pop-up window.
-
-
Alternatively, if you cannot scan the QR code, you can manually enter the code provided below the QR code into your authenticator app.
-
-
Verify and Complete the Setup
-
After entering the 6-digit code, click the Verify button.
-
If the code is correct, 2FA will be successfully enabled, and you will see a confirmation message.
-
-
Save Backup Codes (Optional but Recommended)
-
Some platforms offer backup codes in case you lose access to your authenticator app. Check if this option is available and save the codes in a secure place.
-
How 2FA Works
Once 2FA is enabled, every time you log into your Common Ninja account, you will be required to:
-
Enter your email and password as usual.
-
Enter the 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app.
This additional step ensures that even if someone gets access to your password, they cannot log in without the code from your authenticator app.
