Whenever you want to start a tournament or publish a bracket, it is important to take good care of the aesthetics, and that means how the participants and their scores are displayed in the brackets.
In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps on how to change the width and sizes of games and scores.
- From the brackets editor, access the Settings tab. Scroll down to find the Dimensions section, where you'll see two options: Games Size and Scores Size. An issue often arises when participant names, such as Germany, Uruguay, and Portugal, get truncated within the brackets, affecting the visual coherence. This is precisely where the Games Size feature becomes invaluable in addressing such concerns.
- The Games Size parameter is designed to alter the width for the participants. For instance, if you were to change it from the current level to a point where the names would be prominent, you would simply increase the value as follows:
- Similarly, the Score Size is no different than the Games Size. Many times, there will be brackets where scores for each participant could be in double, and sometimes even in triple digits. Note that while changing the Score Size, the Games Size would be automatically reduced because the size of the game increases toward the left, thereby overpassing Games Size. In order to increase Scores Size, we also had to increase the Games Size to ensure the balance between both.
And that’s about it! Hope that helps!
