Understanding March Madness:
Before diving into the setup process, let's briefly understand what March Madness is. It's a single-elimination tournament with a history rooted in the NCAA. The tournament typically runs from March to April, featuring 68 teams competing on three weekends.
With Common Ninja’s Brackets widget, you can have a March Madness with a minimum number of participants of just 8.

Setting Up March Madness Brackets:
In the widget editor, go to the Settings tab, locate the Bracket Type option, and open the dropdown menu. From the menu, choose the March Madness bracket type.
Please note: There are variations of the March Madness tournament, including a voting option and predictions.

March Madness structure:
After selecting all the winners and updating scores for each game, here's what your March Madness will look like.
Quick reminder: you can only select winners and update scores once you've saved all changes and published the bracket, i.e. Start the Tournament.
In this example, we have 4 groups with 16 participants evenly divided. Each group has a Semifinal and a Final Match.
- Winners from Group 1 play against winners from Group 2.
- Winners from Group 3 play against winners from Group 4.
Then we have the Final Four:
- The winners from Group 1 and Group 2, play against each other.
- The winners from Group 3 and Group 4, play against each other.
Finally, the winners of the Final Four play against each other to claim the Championship.
