Your AI Chatbot can automatically send messages after a period of inactivity to re-engage users and keep the conversation flowing.
What Are Automatic Messages?
Automatic Messages are triggered when a user has not interacted with the chatbot for a set amount of time. These messages can remind users that the chatbot is available to help, offer suggestions, or encourage them to continue the conversation.
How It Works
- The chatbot tracks user inactivity.
- After a specified time, it sends a predefined message.
- This helps keep users engaged and prevents them from abandoning the chat.
How to Set It Up
- Navigate to the "Content" section in the left navigation panel.
- Enable the Automatic Message option.
- Set the inactivity duration before the message is triggered.
- Enter the message you want the chatbot to send.
- Save your changes.
Example
Message after 2 minutes of inactivity:
"Hey, still there? Can I help you with anything else?"
Using Automatic Messages ensures your chatbot stays interactive and improves user engagement.
